From Corner Shops to Stadiums — Chances Are, It’s One of Ours

We supply ceiling tiles to the places you shop, work, and visit every day — from major retailers
(and the small independents) to schools, offices, and public buildings across the UK.

The Armstrong Tatra ceiling tile is a very popular product, it is one of Armstrong’s bestsellers and has been for more than 30 years.

The Tatra tile features the ever-popular classic fissured face pattern. This particular tile is classed as ‘directional fissured’ as the groves or flecks run in a particular direction across the ceiling title.

In the 600 x 600mm tiles, these are designed to be alternated, whereas, in the 1200 x 600mm version, the fissured pattern runs across the width of the ceiling tile.

Features of Armstrong Tatra Ceiling Tiles

The Armstrong Tatra tile offers great value for money and is an ideal solution for many applications such as offices, retail units, and schools. This tile offers a great balance as it provides a reasonable level of performance but is great value for money, this means costs can be kept to a minimum.

All the ceiling tiles within the Tatra range are 15mm thick and available in three different size and edge combinations, as detailed above. This product is also one of the few remaining ceiling tiles available in the old imperial size of 4ft by 2ft. These imperial tiles are unfortunately quite expensive but do provide a solution for very old ceilings.

The Armstrong Tatra ceiling tiles offer great light reflectance at 82% and are 70% resistant to humidity. Another great advantage of the Tatra tiles is that they are made up of 51% recycled products and are fully recyclable.

Tatra Square Edge vs Tatra Reveal Edge

The Armstrong Tatra range of ceiling tiles come in both square and reveal edge options. The square edge ceiling tiles and are usually the most cost-effective. These tiles sit flush with the gridwork and will fit in both 24mm and 15mm grid systems.

A tegular/reveal edge allows the tile to protrude below the grid ceiling system and provide more depth and texture to the ceiling plane. This is purely a design feature and it does often add to the cost of a suspended ceiling tile.

Why choose Armstrong Tatra Ceiling Tiles

The reason for the popularity of this tile is partly due to its versatile design but it is also partly down to the Armstrong brand. As world leaders in the suspended ceiling industry, Armstrong Ceilings are trusted by millions and have a range of products to suit every application. The Tatra tile is excellent value for money and provides a reasonable level of performance.
